Right on the picturesque harbour
Approaching the island by ferry, the building housing this special penthouse can be spotted sometime before docking. From the deep-water ferry dock, it's only a few kilometres to the picturesque harbour of Pellworm, where the apartment is located.
The accommodation could not be more centrally situated. Not only is the ferry dock practically around the corner, but so are all of Pellworm's major shops and amenities. The island's supermarket, the bakery for fresh bread and cakes and the popular "PelleWelle" leisure pool are all just a few minutes walk away. There is a quaint restaurant right in the building and, in summer, snack bars at the harbour sell fish sandwiches and other snacks. There are more restaurants also within walking distance of the penthouse.
An island to relax
Unlike its northern North Frisian neighbours, there is no hustle and bustle or extensive nightlife on Pellworm. It is all about experiencing untouched nature amidst the Wadden Sea, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. If you simply want to unwind from the stresses of everyday life and recharge your batteries, this is the place for you. It's not without reason that the clocks seem to tick more slowly on Pellworm.
From the apartment located in Tammensiel, the island's capital, all of Pellworm's other attractions are easily accessible by bus, bike, or on foot. The island's swimming spots are also within easy reach. A walk along the dyke or into the island's lush interior is worthwhile at any time of year.

...by car:
The island of Pellworm can be reached from Hamburg via the A7 or the A23. Go by way of Husum to get to the Nordstrand ferry port, from where ferries to Pellworm depart several times a day, regardless of the tide. The crossing takes approximately 35 minutes. There is a large parking lot at the ferry port where vehicles can be left for the duration of the holiday. Although private cars are not necessary on Pellworm, they are allowed. It is not far from the ferry dock to the accommodation. The journey can be made on foot, by bus, or by shared taxi (04844/1515).
...by train:
The nearest train station is in Husum. From there, buses run to the Nordstrand ferry terminal, where ferries leave for Pellworm.
...by plane:
The closest airport is Hamburg. From there, it will take a good two hours to reach the Nordstrand ferry port by car.
